Kawasaki’s tag line “Let the good times roll” has really come true for its fans in India as the superbike maker plans to bring in new models in addition to its existing line-up. India Kawasaki Motors Pvt Ltd recently launched the Z1000 and Ninja 1000 at Rs. 12, 50,000 (ex-Showroom, Pune & Delhi) respectively.
The company did not hurry with its launches and patiently waited for the once a nascent market to mature. According to Autocar, the company will get the Z800 in India in January 2014. The Z800 has an 803cc engine which produces a maximum power of 113 PS at 10,200 rpm 83Nm of torque at 8000rpm. It has a 6 speed gearbox.
In addition to this, the company also plans to display its ER-6n and Versys 1000 adventure series of motorcycles. These bikes will be retailed from the company exclusive Kawasaki showrooms in Pune. There is no surety on whether these motorcycles are being displayed to strengthen the brand or gauge demand but then if these bikes do make it to India, it is just the beginning of good times.
